Role:
The company is looking for a Database rchitect/Developer to join our team as a contractor for 4 – 6 months.
The requirements of this job are to produce a data model, load process from data sources, migration from the existing model, downstream views mimicking the current tables to offer a seamless upgrade path and appropriate MI and exception reports. Deliverables will be:
- Data model ERD
- Data model build DDL in CVS
- Migration scripts
- Regular load scripts in CVS
- MI/Reporting/Reconciliation reports
- DDL for downstream views in CVS
- Performance test proof of the load process and typical usage (e.g. for a data audit)
We expect that the main challenge will be to understand the problem domain and adequately model it.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a database architect or business analyst
- Sound knowledge of database development (PL/SQL, Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of theory of relational databases
- Data migration and integration projects
- Familiar with database design issues relating to performance, fault tolerance, audit trails
- Knowledge of or interest in financial sector, practices.
- Reasonable knowledge of spoken & written English language, which means ability to communicate with English-speaking team and writing technical documentation in English.
- Ideally, experience of working for UK companies
